Our Mission, Vision & Values

There was an estimated 19,880 new cases of ovarian cancer in 2022, adding to the over 235,081 individuals already living with the diagnosis.[7, 53] Women and trans men of various ethnicities, races, ages, abilities, religions, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds are affected by the disease. Providing ovarian cancer survivors equal access to vital resources to enhance their quality of life and to live more meaningfully is consistent with the Core Values and Attitudes of Occupational Therapy Practice.[9, 10] OCT's mission, vision, and values also align with the principles of occupational therapy and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion among ovarian cancer survivors.
