Ovarian Cancer Survivorship
Cancer survivorship begins on the day of diagnosis and extends through the remainder of a survivor’s life. There are three stages of survivorship.[16]

Stage 1: Acute Stage
In the acute stage, the diagnosis is made, the cancer is staged, and a treatment plan is initiated.

Stage 2: Extended Stage
The extended stage is the period after aggressive treatment with the potential for remission.

Stage 3: Permanent Stage
Survivors with no evidence of disease with a focus on long-term survival are in the permanent stage.
